Bridal Work and Then Some.......

August is flying by with back to back weddings, bridal trials for 2011 and more exciting work at the TV studio.  Provided makeup last week for the host and several guests appearing on the series "The Best Years" airing monthly on Ocean County's local cable network.  The shows that will be airing in 2010 are now complete.   In the fall, taping will begin for the 2011 season....can't wait!!!! 

Had such a great time this week, once again, working with the crew doing makeup for a video production which will be presented at Ocean County College's Gala Event taking place this September.  So much fun and such a great experience!!!

Vanessa's look was soft and natural using light purples combined with neutral colors on the eyes topped off with liner and big beautiful lashes.  A soft lip completed her classic bridal look.  Stunning!!  Wishing her much happiness always!! 

More Brides and TV

Busy, busy week filled with bridal bookings for 2011 as well as Makeup applications and touch-ups for two days of taping at the cable TV station where I currently freelance as Key Makeup Artist. 

Did makeup for the host of the show and several guests appearing on the show for their original series "The Best Years".  The Sept. & Oct. episodes are complete and I'm so excited to be a part of it.

Will be finishing up this week with Caryn's Wedding in Northern NJ for herself and 6 other lovely ladies. 

Life is Good!!!

Nothing makes my day more than a thoughtful note of thanks from one of my recent brides.  Thought I would share a few...

Brianne got married on Thurs. 5/27.  Brianne had her makeup done early on the morning of her wedding to leave for the cruise ship where she was to be married as well as have her reception...Loved the unique concept of her wedding!!   Here is what she wrote:

The Height of the Season

Welcome June....such a busy, busy month and it's only just begun.  This past weekend included 5 weddings along with bridal trials in between during the week.  I have also been actively working for Channel TV 20 shooting commercials and video shoots, as well as a promo makeover event at Hair Friends & Company, a wonderful salon here in Ocean County.  Loving my job more and more each day!!

Recently Hired as a Key Makeup Artist for Channel TV-20

Very excited to have recently been hired as the Key Makeup Artist for "in-studio" shows airing on local channel TV-20.  Had a great first day today doing makeup for the taping of a TV commercial for the channel.  It is always amazing to see how much time and manpower goes into a 60 second taping.  Every small detail counts and it was a great experience seeing it all come together.

 It was a pleasure meeting the staff and crew at Ocean County College.  I'm really looking forward to the additional dates booked this summer to do makeup for the hosts and guests appearing on the channel's upcoming TV shows.

Nicole's March Wedding

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Nicole, her sister and her mom 14 months prior to her wedding date this past March.  Nicole LOVES makeup, I think as much as I do, and we had a great time trying out different looks throughout the year leading up to her "Big Day" including her engagement photo session and makeup for her and her sister's birthday celebration. 
Myself and Nicole, one of the other wonderful makeup artists I  work with, provided services for a total of 12 ladies. 
Nicole was kind enough to call me just 2 days after her wedding to thank me and let me know how much she loved her makeup and how pleased the other 11 ladies were as well.  Here are a few pro pictures taken by J & R Guarino Photography.  Nicole looked absolutely stunning!!

Makeup For TLC's New Bridal Show "Four Weddings"

What an exciting weekend!!  Spent Saturday and this morning in  beautiful Atlantic City doing my bridal client, Lisa's makeup for her wedding day and  the TLC shooting of  the new series, "Four Weddings".  Nothing better than working from a hotel room with an ocean front view.  Lisa looked absolutely breathtaking!! 

Wishing Lisa and her new husband the Best of Luck today while taping the grand finale of the show.   I was flattered to be asked to do her makeup again for the grand finale.  Hope they are the winning couple!!!!
